Lanting Beach Resort (LBR) offer you great destination for saltwater fishing enthusiasts. Pemanggi Island is well know for its fishing haven. The view at this rocky and hilly resort is breathtaking, almost like a bird's eye view. On your way to the dining and leisure are you have to climb a very steep staircase, so steep that you can touch the stairs while climbing it. When reaching there, you can see a collection of antiques, ie. watches, cameras, gramophone, antique radio set, etc.

Fishing
Big Game Fishing in the Pemanggil Island waters can be an adventure of a lifetime for keen fishermen and first-timers alike. The coral atolls boast one of the greatest concentrations and diversities of sea life found on earth. The traditional fishing methods in the Pemanggil Island are interesting to watch, and baitless fishing is the most fascinating among them. Lanting Beach Resort arranges some of the best big game fishing excursions in the country. The Prowler, which leads you on the hunt for the “game”, is equipped with all the necessary equipment, radios, GPS system and heads. Get a chance to fish with the koyan master, Tarzan Laut and King Fisher, who has a handful of experience and stories to share with. Black Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Spanish Mackerel, Shark, Stingray, Tuna, Grouper, Giant Trevally, Cobia just to name a few of the big game species mangling in its water. Check it for yourself!. Best time for fishing is in between September to December. Dorado is very seasonal somewhere in May and June and Mackerel in July and August. Boat can be chatted for your fishing pleasure.

GETTING AROUND
Located about 64 miles offshore from mersing, Johor, Malaysia. Requires a 1 1/2 hours ride by Qatamaran boat from Mersing (mainland). Lanting resort is situated at the far end of the resort. It takes another 15 minutes boat ride to the resort jetty from the main jetty. This resort is quite secluded from other resorts. One thing unique about this resort is that the whole structure is actually built on big rocky hills.
